Crazy industry music has become. A digital store with songs coming out of space is now the main and largest music retailer. Half of all music retail stores are now closed, things are so so so different.
There are however a few constants, constants that I am so thankful for. For years I overlooked these constants I thought that music consisted more over the touring, traveling, grind and over the past year I have found a new thing. Well, I guess it isn’t new it’s something I have done for years, but I have recently found a new found respect and love for this craft.
Songwriting. Simple, yes yes I know but I honestly for years almost saw songwriting as second. Weird huh? Weird but true, in this day and age it almost feels like songs have become second. When did things go this way? How did we get here?
Since we started making anthem song last year I got involved in alot of different songwriting, and man it hooked me.
I have had incredible Opportunites to write this past year with so many different songwriters in so many different genres. Country, rock, pop, worship. Creativity in our craft is king so why did we stop?
I just returned from Nashville from a writing trip and we saw so many incredible people with talents that blew my mind. In our industry it’s not all about what’s current it is about what is real. Creativity is real, passion is real
