Pizza… Or flatbread…or pizza?
If anyone is being honest their favourite food is pizza. Well, mine is anyway, when you are mega hungry and stuck somewhere you think about pizza, right? Maybe I’m wrong? Either way I have tried so many different recipes to make killer pizza at home and I think tonight I found my favourite.
Below is the recipe, it was developed by a restaurant in my town called “currents” I hope you dig it as much as I do!
Pesto flatbread pie in your eye:
You’ll need: 1. tube Pillsbury thin pizza crust (you can also make your own dough, but let’s be honest, its the holidays and we are all busy, buy the tube) 2. Mozzerella cheese to sprinkle ( use sparingly) 3. Basil (fresh) 4. 4 tbls Pesto sauce (buy this to) 5. Half medium bottle of good balsamic vinegar 6. 1 half container of mushrooms (baby Bella is best, but any will do) 7. Black pepper 8. 4 Roma tomatoes,chopped
Okay, In medium sauce pan bring vinegar, mushrooms and black pepper to taste to a boil then let simmer until thick
Preheat oven to 400 Spread dough onto a greased baking sheet Cover with pesto Sprinkle mozzarella Add tomatoes and basil
Bake for fifteen min or until golden brown( watch it every oven Is different)
Take Out of oven and drizzle with balsamic reduction. You will be stoked!
