    Thnks gvng

Well here we are. I feel like as I get older the expectation of each holiday season gets closer and closer. My age seems to make the years speed by. I remember living life just for the holidays as a kid, by the time it got here it was gone and the waiting game started over.

Now that I’m almost thirty I have been trying to look at thanksgiving for what it actually is.

I for so long have known and have professed that all this food and family on the last thursday of ever november is about thanks, but what level of thanks?

I encourage and challenge you this thanksgiving to take a look at your prayer list and begin to see how much we ask for(me included) as apposed to how much we are thanking God for.

I used to have a pastor that would pray, ” God teach us to seek your hands and not your face”. I have thought about alot recently. I so often look to God for me and what I need. I forget to look around and be thankful for all that I love and have.

A few months ago my wife and I were in Uganda and we watched as 1200 ugandans worship and thank God without abandon. That moment changed me forever, the weight of seeing a people who have virtually nothing worship our savior without condition? Just because he is our God.

This is what we are called to. To thank And worship God in and out of season.

I am thankful for you. Aaron

I came across this recently, check it!
